Professional Discipline- CICC Complaints
Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) are authorized by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act to act as an authorized representative for fee pertaining to various kinds of immigration applications. RCICs are required to be a member of a regulatory body designated by the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Canada. At this time, such designated body is College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). If you are an RCIC and subject to a complaint to the CICC, such complaint may lead to disciplinary proceedings resulting in an interim or permanent suspension or revocation of your membership with the CICC or several other penalties that may affect your right to practice immigration law and to earn a living for your family. If you received a notice of complaint from the CICC, we advise you not to engage in any correspondence with the CICC until you consult a lawyer. We can represent and defend you concerning any complaints or disciplinary proceedings before the CICC.
